Sasha Vujacic, Maria Sharapova Got Engaged!

Los Angeles Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic says he's engaged to marry Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova.

"We are engaged and are both really happy," Vujacic said Thursday night before the Lakers' exhibition game against Golden State. "It's good and now we can focus on other things."

Vujacic said he proposed on the one-year anniversary of their first meeting at a friend's barbecue.

"It's was probably old school," Vujacic said. "I had to do it like a gentlemen."

Glee GQ Photos Draw Protests

The parents group PTC is slamming "Glee" for a GQ pictorial they say "borders on pedophilia.The Glee GQ photos are now raking protests.

"It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on 'Glee' in this way," said PTC President Tim Winter. "It borders on pedophilia. Sadly, this is just the latest example of the overt sexualization of young girls in entertainment."

Fox, Glee's home station, had no comment, but GQ released this statement: "The Parents Television Council must not be watching much TV these days and should learn to divide reality from fantasy. As often happens in Hollywood, these 'kids' are in their twenties. Cory Montieth's almost 30! I think they're old enough to do what they want."

Beyonce is Pregnant! --source

A source reports that 29-year old singer Beyonce is pregnant with her first child with hubby rapper Jay-Z.

"B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet," says a source of the singer, who married rapper Jay-Z in 2008. "She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again."

Beyonce pregnancy rumor first spread on March of this year, when a US-based website reported that Beyonce is pregnant and husband Jay-Z was "extremely happy to be having his first child with Bey."

OFW commits suicide in Gulf Air flight to Manila

A passenger was found dead inside the lavatory of a Gulf Air flight from Abu Dhabi to Manila on Wednesday, October 20.

The passenger was identified to be Marlon Cueva, a 36-year old overseas Filipino worker from Mariveles, Bataan.

Cueva was said to be already uneasy before take-off during their Bahrain connecting flight.

Minutes before the plane landed, the crew noticed Cueva wasn’t in his seat and was later found inside the plane’s comfort room.

Willing Willie Airs on October 23 on TV5

Willie Revillame's new TV5 show Willing Willie starts on Saturday, October 23. Contrary to some news, Willing Willie is not a noontime show, it is set to air on prime time. The show is said to have different segments with different segment hosts. One of Willing Willie's segment hosts is Mo Twister.

Willing Willie held a trade launch last October 13 at the World Trade Center. The show will pursue amidst the contract issues concerning Willie Revillame and ABS-CBN.

Misguided Angel: Blue Bloods Book 5

Misguided Angel, the fifth and final installment in the Blue Bloods series will be released on October 26 this year. The Blue Bloods series was written by Filipino-American Melissa dela Cruz.

Misguided Angel picks up right where the previous Blue Bloods novel, The Van Alen Legacy, left off. The books' lead character Schuyler Van Alen had fled to Florence with her forbidden love, Jack Force, and now she is tasked with finding and protecting the seven gates that guard earth from Lucifer, lord of the Silver Bloods.

The Series include the titles Blue Bloods, Masquerade, Revelations, and Van Alen Legacy. Melissa dela Cruz also authored the Au Pairs and The Ashleys Series.

Batibot Returns Sans Pong Pagong And Kikong Matsing

TV5, also known as the 'Kapatid Network', will relaunch Batibot this coming November. Batibot was created by the Philippine Children's Television Foundation Inc. and first aired in 1984 on RPN9. The show's more popular characters like Pong Pagong and Kikong Matsing were co-licensed by The Sesame Workshop (creator of Sesame Street). Because of this factor, the two characters will not be seen on the new Batibot. Although Manang Bola, the forgetful seer popular for the lines "perlas na bilog...wag kang tutulog-tulog..." will be retained in the new show, TV5 will also introduce new characters.

Batibot first went off air in 1998 because of factors such as declining viewership and licensing conflicts.

TJ Lavin Critical After Crash

BMX Biker and MTV Challenge host TJ Lavin's stunt failed and resulted in a fatal crash. October 14, Thursday, Lavin was performing a stunt on the Dew Tour Event in Las Vegas.

TJ Lavin has been a top competitor in the BMX community and has even earned one silver and two gold medals in the X Games.

While riding on the second set of the dirt course, he lost control of his bike after failing to complete one of his stunts. His feet were unable to reach the bike’s pedals, catapulting him through the air and knocking him unconscious. The crash resulted in swelling of his brain and was medically induced to a coma to prevent further damages.

Have you checked your Facebook Restaurant City lately? If yes, then you should have noticed Bella, Edward, Jacob and Sam lurking around.

Japan Minister Renho Vogue Photo Shoot Catches Flak

Popular Japan Cabinet Minister Renho apologized Friday for posing inside parliament for high-fashion photographs that opposition conservatives criticized as extravagant and a possible breach of rules.

The November issue of Vogue Nippon shows Government Revitalization Minister Renho wearing designer dresses in photos taken inside the Diet building. The Diet Building is the place where both the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors of Japan meet.

The Vogue Nippon November issue went on sale roughly a week ago but only became an issue Thursday, when a weekly magazine took it up.

"I frankly apologies if my action was inappropriate or caused concern, as that was not my intention," she said.

Former actor Patrick dela Rosa Accused For Rape

Actor-turned politician Patrick dela Rosa was placed under police custody last Friday, October 8. Patrick Dela Rosa, 45, was arrested early Friday morning for raping a 20-year-old female student at a friend’s Regalia Tower unit. Dela Rosa, a board member in Oriental Mindoro, and the victim had been drinking at the condominium with five other persons.

The victim said that the former actor took advantage of her drunkenness and raped her at around 4 a.m. The girl managed to get the help of her friends when she realized that Dela Rosa had raped her. They reported the incident to the building security officer and to the Cubao Police Station.

Patrick Dela Rosa remains detained at the Cubao police station pending the filing of appropriate charges.

Charlotte Motor Speedway Sinkhole

A 35-feet sinkhole appeared in the infield at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. According to sources, the large hole is the result of an underground collapse due to a deteriorating drainage pipe and not some new obstacle or blockage NASCAR drivers have to overcome at the annual fall races next week.

The sinkhole was first seen Friday night by the Charlotte Motor Speedway officials.

A few workers are now currently repairing the Charlotte Motor Speedway sinkhole in time for the Dollar General 300 Nationwide Series race on October 15 and the Bank of America Sprint Cup Series race on October 16 which will be held there.
