Mara Clara Remake Stars Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes
Remember Mara Clara? Yup, that telenovela that ran for 5 years that starred Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes. ABS-CBN is going to do a remake!
The Mara Clara Remake will star Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes. Kathryn was the one who portrayed the role of young Jenny (Marian Rivera)in Endless Love (GMA) and the young Victoria/Anna (Gretchen Barreto) in Magkaribal.
Julia Montes was formerly known as Mara Montes, a Goin' Bulilit graduate and star of movies Caregiver (with Sharon Cuneta) and T2 (with Maricel Soriano). She was given a new screen name because she is portraying Clara and not Mara and ABS-CBN won't want to have any confusions about that.
My lola will be very happy with this Mara Clara remake! I just hope that this time, it will run for just 5 months instead of 5 years.

ABS-CBN's shiny-new musical teleserye 1DOL (IDOL) premieres on September 6. This new offering that features Sarah Geronimo, Sam Milby, Coco Martin, ZSa Zsa Padilla, Agot Isidro, Jovit Baldovino and a lot more, will surely be a blast to all musical fans out there!
1Dol pilot episode will air on 3 channels, but I don't think it's a simulcast. You can watch 1Dol episode 1 on ABS-CBN right after NOAH, on Studio 23 at 8:30PM, and on CinemaOne at 9PM.

He's Beautiful on ABS-CBN
He's Beautiful (a.k.a. You're Beautiful "미남이시네요") is a Korean Drama that aired on the Korean network SBS. He's Beautiful will start airing on ABS-CBN on Monday, August 16 replacing PHR Midnight Phantom.
He's Beautiful cast includes Korean actors Park Shin-hye, Jang Geun Suk, Lee Hong Ki and Jung Yong Hwa.
He's Beautiful features the story of Go Mi Nyu, who is a "sister-in-training". When her twin brother Go Mi Nam successfully auditions into the musical band A.N.JELL but is forced to leave for the United States to correct a botched plastic surgery effort but until he recover she is approached by his manager to pose as Mi Nam for the duration of his recovery. Mi Nyu was against to it at first but in order to fulfill her brother's dream of finding their mother. Now, posing as Mi Nam, Mi Nyu enters the group A.N.JELL and meets its members; Hwang Tae Kyung, Kang Shin Woo and Jeremy.

Shalani Soledad The Buzz Interview Video
Shalani Soledad, girlfriend of President-elect (?) Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III was interviewed by The Buzz host and Noy's sister, Ms. Kris Aquino yesterday. On The Buzz interview, the 29-year-old Valenzuela City Councilor shared kilig facts about her relationship with the soon-to-be-President. “Kinukwento niya na 20 years ago, merong coup. Tapos three of his PSGs were gunned down. So sabi niya it’s a miracle daw na nabuhay daw siya. So sabi ko naman sa kanya, ‘Senator baka hindi mo pa talaga time.’ Sabi niya, ‘Oo nga, dahil 20 years after makikilala pala kita.’”
And knowing Kris, of course she blurted out: “Kadiri ha, Noy, ha… gross… Hindi ko kaya! My God I thought I was the baduy one in the family. Kinabog ako ni Noy dun sa linyang 'yon.”
Shalani and Noy has been together for a year and eight months now.

New Wowowee Hosts Introduced
I watched Wowowee yesterday, April 10, because I'm not so fond of "Mula Sa Puso The Movie", Studio 23's LBO presentation. I was very surprised to learn that they are adding 4 more co-hosts for Wowowee. Aside from the original four: Pokwang, Mariel Rodriguez, RR and Valerie Concepcion, four beautiful ladies were added. Two of them I am not so familiar with: Isabelle Abiera and Jed Montero, but the other two: Carmen Soo and Kelly Misa, were included on my most favorite females list. :)
All 8 hosts are so pretty. Yes, including Pokwang who donned an industrial fan-inspired get-up yesterday.Love Pokwang!

Raymond Paraiso was once Patricia Monique, a transvestite, supermodel, and beauty queen. He suffered from SJS or Stevens Johnson Syndrome caused by his excessive hormone pill intake. Stevens Johnson Syndrome or SJS is a disease that causes death of skin cells which results to the separation of epidermis from the dermis.

Ayos Ka by Brillante Mendoza (Video)
A short film by Brillante Mendoza titled "Ayos Ka", which is included in ANC's Ambisyon 2010 presentation, was given an X-rating by the MTRCB because the short film was said to be "defamatory to the country". Yesterday, MTRCB lowered Ayos Ka's X-Rating to Restricted or "R". With the R rating, the film still cannot be aired on TV. Brillante Mendoza's Ayos Ka, along with another X-Rated documentary by Jeffrey Jeturian "Ganito Tayo Ngayon, Paano Na Tayo Bukas?" and 18 others, will be shown at the CCP on April 6.

Watch out for the new station ID of ABS-CBN this coming Sunday, March 21. ASAP XV will be having a live show straight from Boracay! They will be launching the new ABS-CBN Summer 2010 station ID featuring the song "Summer Ang Simula" sung by Pinoy Dream Academy Grand Star Dreamer Yeng Constantino and Kean Cipriano of the rock band Callalily.

The Bomb Explodes at Showtime!
Dance group from Orani, Bataan shows people how to win just for having fun
I don't know if I should be proud with this group or what, with them being my kababayan and all. lol. If you are a fan of ABS-CBN's Showtime, you definitely know what I'm talking about. The Bomb is a "dance group" (I placed quotation marks because I'm not quite sure if you call it dancing) from my hometown Orani, Bataan. The Bomb bagged Showtime's weekly champion title last February 26. They have said during interviews that the dance group had rehearsals of 1 to 3 hours only. As a matter of fact, I believe it, for they really dance like they didn't rehearse at all. But still, they're fun to watch. Fun. And funny. Amusing and irritating at the same time and the judges obviously liked what they did. They made it to the weekly finals and have had the opportunity to join the monthly finals! Thank goodness hindi sila ang naging monthly champion. Sobra-sobra na yun! :) Watch Showtime's February 23 episode with The Bomb!I heard that The Bomb will be guesting on ASAP XV this coming Sunday, March 7. Hmmm, sikat! Watch out for it!

Starting February 8, ABS-CBN will start airing its new addition on the prime time slot, Agua Bendita. Agua Bendita stars Andi Eigenmann, Jason Abalos and Mateo Gudecelli. This show will be the launching show of Andi, daughter of Mark Gil and Jaclyn Jose. The 19-year old young lady said that she is very thankful that ABS-CBN trusted her with this project. Not My Kind of Drama
It's a bit early for me to judge, I know. But after two days of watching Judy Ann Santos' comeback teleserye , Habang May Buhay, it already left me "unstable". Yes, unstable, just like Gina Alajar's character here. It's really not my kind of drama. I don't want to sound like an anti-Juday here (I admire her, really), but this series feels soooo heavy, with lots of complications, tears, shouting and melodramatic "Ngayon, umikot na ang mundo" kind of dialogues. I can feel right from the very start that Habang May Buhay will be very Mara Clara-like. A story that doesn't really exist, and will not exist whatever you do.
