TJ Lavin Critical After Crash

BMX Biker and MTV Challenge host TJ Lavin's stunt failed and resulted in a fatal crash. October 14, Thursday, Lavin was performing a stunt on the Dew Tour Event in Las Vegas.

TJ Lavin has been a top competitor in the BMX community and has even earned one silver and two gold medals in the X Games.

While riding on the second set of the dirt course, he lost control of his bike after failing to complete one of his stunts. His feet were unable to reach the bike’s pedals, catapulting him through the air and knocking him unconscious. The crash resulted in swelling of his brain and was medically induced to a coma to prevent further damages.

TJ Lavin is being treated in University Medical Center.

Ayos Ka by Brillante Mendoza (Video)

A short film by Brillante Mendoza titled "Ayos Ka", which is included in ANC's Ambisyon 2010 presentation, was given an X-rating by the MTRCB because the short film was said to be "defamatory to the country". Yesterday, MTRCB lowered Ayos Ka's X-Rating to Restricted or "R". With the R rating, the film still cannot be aired on TV. Brillante Mendoza's Ayos Ka, along with another X-Rated documentary by Jeffrey Jeturian "Ganito Tayo Ngayon, Paano Na Tayo Bukas?" and 18 others, will be shown at the CCP on April 6.
