A Canister Filter is a really powerful and efficient aquarium filter that can do both mechanical and biological filtration. Since it is large compared to other aquarium filter types, canister filter is usually placed under the fish tank. How Does it Work?

Creating a GMAT preparation plan is crucial. If at all possible, you should give yourself time to plan for it for at least 2 to 3 months. This way, you will never feel too rushed or stressed; and you will be able to absorb all your sources efficiently.
However, as we all know, it is almost undoable. Like most people, you are always too busy with other things to allot months for your GMAT preparation. More often than not, we only have a month or less for our preparation for the GMAT.

Taking the GMAT should not be all stressful. A perfectly designed GMAT Prep plan will help overcome the fear and pressure brought by the idea of taking the GMAT. You can resource GMAT Prep learning modules to help jumpstart your GMAT preparation routine.

Things to Help You Prepare For the GMAT:

• The “OG” – one trick is to buy the GMAT Official Guide books. These contain the needed information and practice tests that will help you successfully pass GMAT. You will find them very useful especially if you do not have a longer study timeframe. By studying the OG religiously, you will be able to refresh your knowledge and mindset.

• GMAT Practice Tests – to be able to familiarize yourself with GMAT-related questions, you need to take as many GMAT practice exam as you can. If it is possible, repeat the practice test again. By doing this, you will be able to recognize the questions on the actual tests, which are, by the way, on the same concept as the practice problems.

If you still feel muddled and unfocused concerning your GMAT prep routine, here are some tips to keep you from drifting:

1. If you haven’t taken a practice CAT or any GMAT practice tests, then take one. This will help you assess yourself and evaluate how well you know the subjects. Make sure you do not cheat yourself by checking with other study materials. You will only have a harder time evaluating what you do not know when you cheat.

2. After you’ve taken a number of GMAT practice exams, review the areas where you got the most questions wrong. If it is possible, take those specific tests again until you are satisfied with your test results.

3. If you think it could help, register for a GMAT class. Or you can form a GMAT study group if studying with other people will make you more comfortable and dedicated.

4. Memorize basic vocabulary rules and Math formulas. You should make time to learn equivalencies and fractions. Ignoring these may affect your GMAT standing.

5. Never skip the AWA section on your GMAT practice tests, not doing so may distract you during the actual examination. Refrain from jumping around reading comprehension passages and do not be too indolent or too proud by not drawing a diagram if necessary.

6. At least a week before the test day, take another set or two of GMAT practice tests. This will help you refresh your mind and practice your mental and physical strength.

It is still best to have a longer time to prepare for the GMAT, but like what we all know, not all of us have the privilege to do so. However, it is not impossible to get ready for GMAT in a month. By effectively utilizing the GMAT Official Guide books and by taking up GMAT practice tests, you can still have a good preparation for the GMAT even under time pressure.

This guide is meant for the Globe Broadband Prolink H5200 modem/router, which is what the Globe peeps provided me. It uses WAN configuration connecting thtough the PPPoE protocol with a username and password. (To know what your username and password are, call their service hotline)

1. Make sure that your modem's DHCP server is Enabled.
2. Connect your LAN router port to your PC's LAN card using a primary data cable.
3. Change the Encore router's default LAN IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2
4. Disable the DHCP server on your Encore WiFi Router and router's LAN setting.
5. Save settings. Unplug router.
6. Now connect your modem to router. Make sure that you connect the router to any of the LAN ports only and not through WAN.
7. Switch on the router.
8. Set your preferred WiFi username and password.

OFW commits suicide in Gulf Air flight to Manila

A passenger was found dead inside the lavatory of a Gulf Air flight from Abu Dhabi to Manila on Wednesday, October 20.

The passenger was identified to be Marlon Cueva, a 36-year old overseas Filipino worker from Mariveles, Bataan.

Cueva was said to be already uneasy before take-off during their Bahrain connecting flight.

Minutes before the plane landed, the crew noticed Cueva wasn’t in his seat and was later found inside the plane’s comfort room.

Batibot Returns Sans Pong Pagong And Kikong Matsing

TV5, also known as the 'Kapatid Network', will relaunch Batibot this coming November. Batibot was created by the Philippine Children's Television Foundation Inc. and first aired in 1984 on RPN9. The show's more popular characters like Pong Pagong and Kikong Matsing were co-licensed by The Sesame Workshop (creator of Sesame Street). Because of this factor, the two characters will not be seen on the new Batibot. Although Manang Bola, the forgetful seer popular for the lines "perlas na bilog...wag kang tutulog-tulog..." will be retained in the new show, TV5 will also introduce new characters.

Batibot first went off air in 1998 because of factors such as declining viewership and licensing conflicts.

TJ Lavin Critical After Crash

BMX Biker and MTV Challenge host TJ Lavin's stunt failed and resulted in a fatal crash. October 14, Thursday, Lavin was performing a stunt on the Dew Tour Event in Las Vegas.

TJ Lavin has been a top competitor in the BMX community and has even earned one silver and two gold medals in the X Games.

While riding on the second set of the dirt course, he lost control of his bike after failing to complete one of his stunts. His feet were unable to reach the bike’s pedals, catapulting him through the air and knocking him unconscious. The crash resulted in swelling of his brain and was medically induced to a coma to prevent further damages.

The November issue of Vogue Nippon shows Government Revitalization Minister Renho wearing designer dresses in photos taken inside the Diet building. The Diet Building is the place where both the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors of Japan meet.

Actor-turned politician Patrick dela Rosa was placed under police custody last Friday, October 8. Patrick Dela Rosa, 45, was arrested early Friday morning for raping a 20-year-old female student at a friend’s Regalia Tower unit. Dela Rosa, a board member in Oriental Mindoro, and the victim had been drinking at the condominium with five other persons.

The victim said that the former actor took advantage of her drunkenness and raped her at around 4 a.m. The girl managed to get the help of her friends when she realized that Dela Rosa had raped her. They reported the incident to the building security officer and to the Cubao Police Station.

Patrick Dela Rosa remains detained at the Cubao police station pending the filing of appropriate charges.

Charlotte Motor Speedway Sinkhole

A 35-feet sinkhole appeared in the infield at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. According to sources, the large hole is the result of an underground collapse due to a deteriorating drainage pipe and not some new obstacle or blockage NASCAR drivers have to overcome at the annual fall races next week.

The sinkhole was first seen Friday night by the Charlotte Motor Speedway officials.

A few workers are now currently repairing the Charlotte Motor Speedway sinkhole in time for the Dollar General 300 Nationwide Series race on October 15 and the Bank of America Sprint Cup Series race on October 16 which will be held there.

The Flintstones has contributed a lot in the popular culture. Remember Flintstones Chewable Vitamins? The ones that are shaped like The Flintstones characters and come in different fruit flavors like grapes and orange? That product is still sold by Bayer up to this day. The Mara Clara Remake will star Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes. Kathryn was the one who portrayed the role of young Jenny (Marian Rivera)in Endless Love (GMA) and the young Victoria/Anna (Gretchen Barreto) in Magkaribal.

Julia Montes was formerly known as Mara Montes, a Goin' Bulilit graduate and star of movies Caregiver (with Sharon Cuneta) and T2 (with Maricel Soriano). She was given a new screen name because she is portraying Clara and not Mara and ABS-CBN won't want to have any confusions about that.

My lola will be very happy with this Mara Clara remake! I just hope that this time, it will run for just 5 months instead of 5 years.

Explosion Rocks the Bar Exams

At least 24 persons were injured when the explosion that rocked the De LaSalle University in Taft Avenue late afternoon. Vice Mayor Isko Moreno, who came to the scene and talked to the investigators, said the bar exams traditionally had unruly street celebrations.

“But this is extreme. The students have become adventurous and they don’t seem to realize that this isn't what their parents want for them,” he told the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Authorities say the explosive was likely from a pillbox, but it was unusual considering the gravity of the impact and the number of injured.

Victims brought to the Ospital ng Maynila were identified by the hospital’s Trauma Surgery Division as Joanna Katrina Ledda, Arvin Francis Rosales, Philip Edwin Teelo, Gennilyn Ong, Cyril Ferrer, Kathleen Samba, Azenith Gonzalvo, Jamell Ann Marie and Renald Sudla.

The nine others at the PGH were identified by the hospital’s spokesman, Dr. Michael Tee, as Raissa Laurel, 23; Diana Espiritu, 28; Claudine Abrogena, 21; Datu Mohammad Abdul, 23; Generson Mercado, 25; Milanes Rainier, 24; Eunice Abdon, 23; Diane Camita, 23; and Donelle Quilates, 28.

Mariel-Robin Baguio Wedding Confirmed (Photo)

It has been a whirlwind romance for couple Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla. But as the saying goes "pagkahaba-haba man ng prusisyon, sa simbahan din ang tuloy" (or rather, maikli man ang prusisyon), the couple ended their story with a happily ever after.

Mariel and Robin tied the knot in an official Igorot wedding officiated by Jimmy Ong, a mambunong, or Ibaloi priest. Like any other Igorot weddings, Padilla and Rodriguez drank rice wine and danced Tayao, a native Ibaloi dance, to symbolize their love for each other.

Robin's youngest son, Ali, was also there during the ceremony.

The celebrity couple again got married in a ceremony officiated by a pastor.

How can we have free Globe Tattoo Connection using CPROXY? It's not really that easy, but if you follow these steps correctly, you might get free internet connection!

Step-by-step guide for free Globe Tattoo Connection using CPROXY:

1. Go to cproxy.com

2. Follow steps 1 and 2. (That's download and register)

3. Check your mail for confirmation and username/password.

4. Run your downloaded application and enter the given username and password.

5. Open your browser then change its proxy configuration.
For Firefox go to: Tools-- Options-- advanced-- network-- settings

6. In the Configure Proxies to Access the Internet, choose the Manual Proxy Configuration, then fill up the following with these:

Maria Venus Raj, Miss Philippines 2010 Universe made it to the Top 5, but when she came to answer the dreaded question, she suffered a 'major major' fail.

During the Question and Answer portion, Raj was asked by American actor William Baldwin about the biggest mistake that she made in her life and what she did to make it right.

A: You can do bay jobs in Car Town. There is a menu for bay jobs selection that you can find in there. This way, you'll earn more coins.

Q: How do I earn Experience points or XP?
A: You can earn XP by buying or pimping your car and spending at least 100 coins. Doing work bay jobs can also earn you XP or experience points.

Q: How to level up fast in Car Town?
A: You can level up fast if you earn more XP in a short period of time. One tip is to do work bay jobs that requires a short time span or to buy or customize your car/ truck more frequently.

Q: How do Test Drives work?
A: Car Town gives you multiple opportunities to try cars before you buy. At various levels you can select one car among three to test drive for one week. Go ahead modify the car, upgrade its performance; put new wheels or graphics on the car. To keep it all you have to do is race and beat your friends during the test drive.
At Level 3 you have to win 25 races in one week.
At Level 13 you have to win 50 races in one week.
At Level 25 you have to win 75 races in one week.

I Just Love Books

Aside from blogging, my usual activities consist of cooking, doing the laundry (yes, I love it!) and reading. Books, for me, is one of life's greatest pleasures. I read everyday. I can last a month without new clothes but not without new books. I sleep with a book under my pillow. I love watching my heap grow.

I raid book sales and online book sellers for dirt-cheap books that I can take pride of (price and title: I'm a winner!) But occasionally, I buy from National Bookstore, Powerbooks and just recently, Amazon.com. I have been very well monitored by my housemates regarding my purchases, even if they doesn't speak up, I just know. I'm thankful that they don't ask me why I can't give my share for the expenses but can still purchase pouches and pouches of books.

Well, all I can say is, I'm addicted. I don't know what to do when I don't read. I can't even sacrifice my reading habits for a Farmville harvest (maybe that is the reason why I quit every Fb game I play). I breath, eat, drink, laugh, cry and love books!

Baking Life is just another Facebook application that you can enjoy. If you are fond of restaurant simulation games like Cafe World and Restaurant City, Baking Life is for you. Baking Life lets users start their own bakery, bake cakes, bread and pastries, and hire friends for helpers. You can personalize cupcakes and serve them as your signature pastry! You can decorate cake and serve other desserts. Like in Cafe World, there are different time frames to bake different kinds of bread and pastries. There are pastries that can be done for as short as 5 minutes and there are cakes that will be baked for as long as 2 days.

I don't know any cheats for Baking Life for now, because it is relatively a new game. Maybe those computer geeks weren't able to develop Baking Life cheats just yet. But what I have in store for you is as helpful as cheats. They are tips and tricks for your Baking Life account.

Baking Life Tips and Tricks.

Baking Life is really easy to play. Like in Cafe World, to be able to start making money immediately, you must start cooking dishes that take up the minimum amount of time, like burger. In Baking Life, you may want to start baking the pastry that requires only 5 minutes of your playtime, in this case, it is the Cinnamon Rolls. (My mouth just watered). Cinnamon Rolls costs 15 Baking Life Coins and yields 13 servings for 4 coins each. That means you earn 52 coins for each batch.

Another trick of earning more money sans cheating is baking yourself and a friend a cupcake. A cupcake costs 1 coin and if you choose to bake and send it to a friend, you'll get 73 cupcakes instead of the 28 cupcakes you get when you just bake and sell them for yourself.

Decrease the labor cost of your staff by hiring friends. If you hire a friend, you will just pay them a fraction of the price of what you will originally pay a staff.

Earn MORE coins by visiting friends' Baking Life bakeries. Each bakeshop you visit will reward you 300 coins. So, the more friends, the more coins you will earn!

I hope these Baking Life Tips and Tricks help. I don't think you'll ever need any of those Baking Life cheats once you learned the do's and dont's of the Baking Life business.

PBB Teen Clash 2010 Housemates will hold a concert on June 10. The money the teens will earn during the concert will be donated to the soccer/football team of the Philippines in order to enter the Homeless World Cup in Brazil.

Shalani Soledad, girlfriend of President-elect (?) Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III was interviewed by The Buzz host and Noy's sister, Ms. Kris Aquino yesterday. On The Buzz interview, the 29-year-old Valenzuela City Councilor shared kilig facts about her relationship with the soon-to-be-President. “Kinukwento niya na 20 years ago, merong coup. Tapos three of his PSGs were gunned down. So sabi niya it’s a miracle daw na nabuhay daw siya. So sabi ko naman sa kanya, ‘Senator baka hindi mo pa talaga time.’ Sabi niya, ‘Oo nga, dahil 20 years after makikilala pala kita.’”
And knowing Kris, of course she blurted out: “Kadiri ha, Noy, ha… gross… Hindi ko kaya! My God I thought I was the baduy one in the family. Kinabog ako ni Noy dun sa linyang 'yon.”
Shalani and Noy has been together for a year and eight months now.

A friend of mine asked me if I know some ZhyperMu Season 4 tricks. My answer is: What in the world is ZhyperMu? Of course, he laughed. By the way, MMORPGs are computer role-playing games in that each player controls an avatar which interacts with other players, completes tasks to gain experience and acquires items. They are massively multiplayer games in that they take place in a perpetual online world with hundreds or thousands of other players.

Many MMORPG gamers look for cheats or hacks to excel in the game that they are playing. Like in ZhyperMu Season 4, players are looking for tips and tricks on how they do this and how to do that, that is why when we google ZhyperMu hacks or ZhyperMu cheats, several gamers' fora come up. The forum members are exchanging tips and tricks in playing ZhyperMu.

Some of the ZhyperMu hacks and cheats that I discovered include Soul Hack, Speed Hack, Agility Hack and Dupe Cheat.

A friend from Qatar called me a few minutes ago just to ask if the news is true. He said that somebody forwarded a text message saying that Piolo Pascual died. Died?! Of course Piolo Pascual cannot die! I assured him that there is no such report about the death of Piolo Pascual. Piolo Pascual was rumored that he fell off a 60-feet cliff while shooting a film in New Zealand. The truth is, Piolo was at his home when rumors spread (tinext nya ko, hehehe).

I don't know why they want to "kill" Piolo, last year, there are also rumors about him getting killed in a car accident.

So, there's a name for these irritating individuals who text or chat with you, or update their statuses like this: Eoww pfow, itz a hAff33 daY!!!

I know that was frustrating to read. I can't understand why folks would want to laugh like jejejeje. Another thing, texting has been a crucial, as in CRUCIAL task for me, I wasn't enjoying a bit of it, then why in the world would a person make a simple 2-letter word like "po" longer and unreadable (pfow)?

Here are some facts about Jejemons (can't believe there are actually facts about them):

1) Usually seen around social networking sites such as Friendster and Multiply, jejemons are individuals with low IQs who spread around their idiocy on the web by tYpFing LyK diZS jejejeje, making all people viewing their profile raise their eyebrows out of annoyance.

2) Jejemons are not just confined to trying-hard Filipino gangsters and emos. A Jejemon can also include a variety of Latino-Hispanic fags who enjoy typing "jejejejeje" in a wider context, much to the disdain of their opponents in an internet MMORPG game such as Ragnarok and DOTA.

3) Basically anyone with a low tolerance in correct punctuation, syntax and grammar. Jejemons are usually hated or hunted down by Jejebusters or the grammar nazi to eradicate their grammatical ways.

I watched Wowowee yesterday, April 10, because I'm not so fond of "Mula Sa Puso The Movie", Studio 23's LBO presentation. I was very surprised to learn that they are adding 4 more co-hosts for Wowowee. Aside from the original four: Pokwang, Mariel Rodriguez, RR and Valerie Concepcion, four beautiful ladies were added. Two of them I am not so familiar with: Isabelle Abiera and Jed Montero, but the other two: Carmen Soo and Kelly Misa, were included on my most favorite females list. :)

I know Edward Cullen or Robert Pattinson can be so delicious...sometimes, but to mold Edward out of solid milk chocolate? Well, I can say this is getting more and more stupid. Hey, I don't want to burst your bubbles here, I will never say no to RPattz if he'll ask me to do the "thing" I want to do with him (lol). But kidding aside, I have lost all my desires about everything Twilight after realizing that the story sucks. (That's why I'm selling my books, anyone interested, please contact me.) Okay, okay. Ayos Ka by Brillante Mendoza (Video)

A short film by Brillante Mendoza titled "Ayos Ka", which is included in ANC's Ambisyon 2010 presentation, was given an X-rating by the MTRCB because the short film was said to be "defamatory to the country". Yesterday, MTRCB lowered Ayos Ka's X-Rating to Restricted or "R". With the R rating, the film still cannot be aired on TV. Brillante Mendoza's Ayos Ka, along with another X-Rated documentary by Jeffrey Jeturian "Ganito Tayo Ngayon, Paano Na Tayo Bukas?" and 18 others, will be shown at the CCP on April 6.

I believe that it is bad to cheat an Internet provider service in able to use it for free, but I will share to you a trick so you can use your Globe tattoo kit for free. Who wouldn't want to browse free sites for free using your Globe Tattoo USB? A friend actually did this trick, and you know what? Na-karma agad, three days from the day of hacking to be exact. Tsk, tsk. Her Facebook account was hacked. Hmmm, but that's another story. You insist for a tip, I'll give it to you. Let's tweak Globe Tattoo and browse for free. But, please, remember, cheat at your own risk. Your Globe Huawei USB could be destroyed because of this.

How To Browse Globe Tattoo For Free:

Insert you Globe Tattoo to your PC / Laptop and let the Globe Tattoo Interface initiate. Once initiated, make sure that your Globe Tattoo is not connected yet, and then go to Tools then choose Options.
On the Options window, choose Profile Management and choose “New”.
Under the Profile Name, you can choose any kind of name you want for that connection.
Under the APN box, choose the Static Option and enter http.globe.com.ph on the APN Field
Under the Authentication Box put *99***1# on the access number box. No need to type anything on the username and password fields.
Click the advanced button and change the DNS Settings to “static” type your preferred DNS in the fields.
Click Ok and then click Save on the right panel. Also don’t forget to set it as default. Once you go back to the Globe Tattoo interface, the new Globe Tattoo Network Profile would now be available on the dropdown menu.
Choose the profile name you created everytime you connect your Globe Tattoo to the internet to avail free globe tattoo browsing.

I hope this works (and at the same time, I hope it doesn't). LOL. Really, it is better to pay for what you use rather than use it free without permission, no? Globe Tattoo can be loaded through your regular loading stations, and it's only 20/hour, 50 a day, so why not just pay for it? If you don't want to spend money, why not read a book, or watch TV, they are relatively free.
